Exploring the Intersection of Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy and Human Sexuality: Ethical Considerations and Practical Challenges

The current discourse surrounding sex, intimacy, connection, and psychedelic use in therapy is evolving, reflecting a growing recognition of the interconnectedness of these themes. This workshop aims to delve into the emerging field of psychedelic-assisted therapy, focusing on its potential to transform individual and societal attitudes toward human sexuality.

Participants will engage in discussions around the ethical considerations of using psychedelics in therapeutic settings, exploring how these substances can facilitate deeper understanding and expression of sexual identity, intimacy, and relationships. The practical component of this workshop will involve role-playing scenarios of psychedelic-assisted therapy, addressing the challenges of navigating consent for sexual expression and the negotiation of boundaries in therapy and beyond.
