Introduction to Resilient Roots
As part of this evolving educational ecosystem, selected modules from Resilient Roots, presented by Amanda Patterson (SEP), are included to strengthen foundational understanding of trauma physiology and trauma-informed application. These materials contribute to the broader learning environment supporting RESET Somatix™ practitioners.
Trauma-Informed Training
Module 2 - THE NERVOUS SYSTEM AND TRAUMA
In this chapter, we go into the physiology of trauma in the nervous system and the brain. We'll look at how traumatic memories are created (and different types of memories), as well as the development of the nervous system and the impact of developmental trauma.
Module 3 - CREATING TRAUMA-INFORMED
PROCESSES AND GROUPS
In this module, we will explore the distinctions between being “trauma-aware,” “trauma-informed,” and “trauma-healing,” delve into the five core principles of trauma-informed practices, examine strategies for creating a sense of safety that resonates with the hindbrain, and learn practical tools to manage the intensity and pace of trauma responses. Additionally, we will focus on the role of prosody and language in these processes.
